I have a uniden grant xl witch lost channels i got a few back but (I am no tech) i lost lower channels and reg channels.only had uppers. (had the chip mod) I was hooking up 2 batteries ( +2+ )( -2-) i had the charger hooked up as well and it freaked out and the radio lost channels what could be the prob and is it fixable?

I'm sure it's possible, but I would not recommend doing this again. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> This is one of those that would have to be looked at to know what's going on.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
