Questions on Vintage Uniden?

I'm just getting into the SSB-Transceiver world, is this a decent radio?

It doesn't look like the owner hacked or tuned it. I've seen these go for upwards of $300 on occasion and this looks to be in better shape than the others. What is the difference between models? (ex. Taiwan, Philippines, etc.)
