Radio Shack TRC-485 AM SSB mobile ? FG Best ? Anyone ?

This little radio looks just like the Magnum 257, however it is a 40 ch. CB, not a 10M radio. Does anyone have a frequency expansion mod for these ?



If I send it to FG Best to Justin could they have the mod for this ?

Theres no simple way to add freqs to these.

There was a procedure listed to mod that radio a couple years ago on the forum. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow. It was not a simple mod. For the longest time, most said the radio couldn't even be modified. If you're the faint at heart type when it comes to working on equipment, I wouldn't attempt it.
