I recently bought a Raytheon ray 48A in good working order but the guy i bought it from lost the powercord. it is a really weaird powercord. i was wondering if you guys would kow ere to buy it from or what its called. i allready went to radio communicationas and radio shack. they didnt have it. the place were a powercord went hade 4 pRONGS. or instead of using a powercord could i just wire it up to a battery because i think it is 12 volt dc

Here is a Ray-50 for a buy it now for $12.95 or make offer. Look at the pics and see if that looks like the cord. Could be a cheap way to get one plus another radio.

More than likely, it is a Jones, or Cinch-Jones connector. Look at Mouser Electronics Click Here for more info. If this is the correct one, then you want the 4 pin socket with hood and cable clamp.
