i got one of these radios the other day on a trade. after trying it out for a couple weeks i am very impressed. 40w pep on am and 45-50pep on ssb. no drift and packed with features. helluva deal for 200 peaked and tuned!!

i have heard i was blowing smoke with this thing. this morning on the interstate it was pretty quiet and i asked for a radio check. i got someone in the distance 25 miles away from me. he said i was doing a good deal, must have a good antenna and box matched perfect. he was shocked when i told him i didnt even have my box yet in the truck although a 10k is a great addition to this radio.

@ heartbreaker3473:Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
