I have found, regardless of how far clockwise the RF gain knob is, the receive on my Connex CX-3300 is low.

I verified this by hooking up another CB in the same vehicle as the CX-3300 was in, and keyed up. The needle on the radio only goes to the S-9 position.

Most any radio I've ever seen usually gets pegged out, this close.

That being said, I looked online and didn't see anywhere that shows which pot to turn to bump up the receive.

Can someone please fill me in on which pot controls receive?

Thanks.

did you buy it like this or did it go like that suddenly?

if you bought it like that , first i'd check the voltages on the front end rf amplifier transistor TR17, then i'd check the rf gain control isn't shorted, then if that checks out i'd be thinking of realigning the tuning transformers in the rx/if section,

you do have the service manual, don't you?

I bought the radio the way it is now. Thanks for the info. No I do not have the service manual.
