The 142 will be going on Fleabay soon-I will give an honest description of it unlike the person I got it from.I posted on craigslist about wanting a base sideband and today an old ham operator offered me a Cherokee 1000 that works for $20.00.I drove 35 miles to his house and bought it-it's missing 4 buttons but everything works!This guy had a radio shack to die for!Collins radios,Drake radios,all kinds of equipment and a 2000 watt amplifier!A huge beam antenna and tower and 2 smaller antennas!He was a nice old gent and had gotten the Cherokee from an estate sale in a box of "old junk".The radio even had an owner's manual!I am happy and already doing some DX on the Cherokee-now if only I could find some new pushbuttons!
