RM KL505 Preamp LED flicker

When keying off, even though the preamp' isn't activated on my KL505, The preamp indicator LED will momentarily light up.

I think it also does this when initially keying, too.

Has anybody else got a RM KL505 that exhibits this?

Same exact symptoms on mine regardless of the power output.

Sounds like you have some RF coming back down the coax.
Try a choke between the amp and antenna.
Especially with end fed or mobile antenna set ups.

This also happens when using a dummy load, so I think it's a design error or something.

It doesn't affect operation in any way; it's just a bit odd.
