Just took a quick look at the Sam's (CB-84) for this radio (AKA Royce 1-620). There's nothing to be adjusted in the audio chain. Also, in the alignment procedure for the transmitter, there is no info given for adjusting modulation.
Maybe one of the pros will have something, but it's probably not going to be a "turn this pot" type of answer.
