As has been posted in the other for sale section this is a warning about new users sending direct messages about items for sale or a item you have posted that you are looking for.
In one example a user was sent a message that a "senior member" that has been here for years had a item for sale and gave a email address to contact.
The real user was contacted and had no idea what was going on and it was not his email.
This is much like what is happening with Ham radio calls, people will copy a call and all the information, edit the email address, and then sell a box of nothing to the unsuspecting buyer who thinks he is doing business with a legit know ham.

Buyer beware

Yes, darn good advice. If someone is interested in my radios and amp I currently have posted for sale, they can contact me via personal message and I will provide my phone number. I've been fortunate using this forum for buying and selling radios and amps.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
  • @ heartbreaker3473:
