Thought learning about radios and the mods might be interesting.

Was curious as to which scope would be best and what features to look for.

Buying a hako soldering station (esd)

Also buying a couple of dummy loads

A meter

I too would be interested to know about o-scopes. I have seen some good prices (I think) on some but not too sure of what to look for.

And just think of the questions we could come up with then !

Same thing here. I just ordered a couple of books, I have had past experience being tutored by a tech and have two years of electronics. I still could use to learn ALOT more.

Here you go.

Has a dual tone output to test SSB radios. Can display your recovered audio on it's internal scope. Has a sweep generator so you can tune all of the ham repeaters duplexors in your neighbor hood. Too many features to list here.

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
