Looks like the one the old jc pennys had, it's a ac/dc connection port but you had to have either one to work there, I may have an ac connector but I'm on holiday right now and I'll look when I get home Sunday and let you know one way or the other.

reminds me of the old shakespeare (The Defender TS1) swr/amu i had back in the early 80's.can't help thinking it may have been an optional accessory for that radio.

That was a common power cord for that era of radios and it's not going to be hard to find one and as I said I'm pretty sure I have one but I am not at home till Sunday to look for it.

Thanks alot for the information. I would appricaite anything you can do for locating a plug for me. If you find it let me know the cost for the plug and shipping.

Much appricaited

Did you get a schematic yet? Bring the radio to me with a portable antenna and we'll get the thing running. I'm off weekends now.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
