"Skip" hasn't changed

I see a lot of question's about skip and weather.
short story:
1971 lived in Tennessee, were coming back from vacation in high country of Colorado. We had
a VW beetle, Huster base load on trunk(front of car) mediumheat, so I figured why not I tried getting the people back home, all I could get was South Carolina, which shot skip back to Tennessee and believe it got a relay to my friends @ home. It's strange how it can bounce. Just wanted to share.
