Just turned on the radio today, and heard Mexican skip broadcasting in AM mode on 38LSB.

I keyed up and called CQ/DX and then got a callback. Had a 6 minute conversation with the "double-deuce Chuck 22" in S.Carolina. He has a great sounding set. He is using a Yagi and was clearly 5/9 contact. 73 Chuck!

Made a second call, and got WR-427 New Jersey coming in at 5/9 as well.

The band is presently going crazy like bugs on a cake!
Coast to coast!
Turn it on - before it dries up!
 

boy you all sure do get the luck, we up here in minnesota havent heard anything really worth braging about in over a week now, so im guessing skip just dont like our neck of the woods, thats ok , some day well get some to brag about again,,,,mark

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
