I mean it's a 150 watts and 150v right, so all you would really need is a wall socket and a rectifier/capacitor, or even run off 220 and just use a voltage regulator setup... anyone else think this is worth while project?

MRF-150 is designed for 125V @ 16A draw.
I know that your nominated supply voltage over there is 110V but what is the current rating of your standard power outlet?. you may need to upsize that power circuit or run a larger capacity circuit just for the amp. could be a costly exercise

I don't know where you guys are getting that 150 volt rating but you had better look again. The MRF-150 is an N-channel MOSFET designed for operation with 50 volts. It has a maximum rating of 125 volts drain to source but those devices are NEVER operated at that kind of voltage.

Run one of them at 150 volts and you better have your safety glasses on when you flip the power switch or you could loose an eye. :blink:
maybe you're getting confused with the arf448. those can run on 150volts dc and produce 140 watts and the arf446 is the 250v 140 watt version
