are cb's usually fm or am ? cause i just bought a galazy dx959 and my friend says it wont work with his cobra ? im kinda pissed

CB is for AM use
some (although not legally allowed) use FM to talk a bit more private with other friends (is very rare though)

Is he saying it won't work with a Cobra amplifier or is he saying you won't be able to talk to him on his Cobra radio? You can tell him the Galaxy 959 is a 40 channel c.b. radio that is 100% legal. Maybe he thinks you bought an export or something.
he said he was mixed up.......but think hes just choked i got a better radio then his .......................... off topic how much power can i get out of it ? with a peak and tune
