I am wondering the same?? Most people just mount their vertical Groundplane on the same mast right above their horizontal or Yagi beams considering they will not in anyway interfere with one another because of the different purpose or radiating patterns.

This is by far the ultimate easiest and best way to do this and get your full use of the vertical groundplane
