Strange Cobra 29 problem.

Have you tried another mic or jumpering pins 1&4 on the mic jack? How about an external speaker? Does the meter indicate that it is receiving a signal?

that sounds like my problem Im having with the uniden pc-122 look at my post below yours and tell me if this is the same issue please.

I have even put a new IC (audio chip) in this PC122 I have and nothing I was told to check the bigger caps in that general area of the chip. I added new Caps and still no sound if you figure yours out let me know what you come up with Ill do the same.

for those that care :)
try looking for a Frequency General Purpose Amplifier..
Maybe TR17 it should come out as a 2SC1815(final audio output amp)
or start checking diodes ad caps by the audio IC and transformer
there are cheap cap checkers out there. (make sure you short the cap out first after you pull it)

did we have peeps keying up close to us ? and with linears on?
did yous mod the CB and use the RF gain knob..if so did you solder the RF gain wires together?

most radios don't have a receive problem ..unless you play with them :p
