What are good power supply's. I was looking at an 18/21 amp Pyramid from H&Y electronics. It has a built in fan, should I worry about noise? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Merlin

Hi,

I highly recommend ASTRON, I have a VS-35M that I picked up new 11 years ago, it is still going strong just like the day I got it, very happy with it, definatley worth looking at, I can not comment on other brands, I got the Astron and never even considered anything else.



It is a quiet supply, I do not seem to get any kind of noise from it, good specs too, crowbar overvoltage and other stuff like that (it slips my mind right now), I have directly shorted across its outputs (when working on radios that have the protection diode blown) and it just shuts down the output instead of going BANG !



Once the short is removed it carries on like normal....



Seems to be bullet proof !
