Been talked about before. Very handy little testers and surprisingly cheap for what they do. Last one got hit by lightning about 6 months ago. Got around to replacing it. Best price was $39 shipped on ebay.

NO - New ones do not come with any kind of instruction sheet - nothing.

Found out that they will work with 9 volt input just as well as 12 or 13.8.

This makes them useful in testing 9 volt based noise toys as well as the 12V ones. And therefore learning if an individual made-for-12v noise toy (ordinarily to be installed inside a radio) would function okay if put inside a 9V based desk mic as well.

Good to know.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
