got some noalox and figgured id use some on my 10k . im wondering if the actual coil wrapping comes off its black former/shaft section though . i got the lil hex screws out the top and bottom . but . using just hand strength i cant get the coil to budge . i wanted to take it all apart for a good cleaning and then reassemble with the noalox on all connections .

will the coils come off without damaging them ? or are they press fitted or something that either i need something special to remove them or that ill most likely dammage the antenna trying to get them off ?

im not expect any performance difference , just want to do a good cleaning and reassembly for a warm fuzzy feeling . ;)

thanks .

The ends of the coil are deformed when tightening of the allen head set screw on either end of the predator 10-k making it next to impossible to remove the coil ends after construction so if you do manage to get them out then you're fortunate.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
