Five new sunspot groups appeared in the past nine days, and the average daily sunspot number for the November 11-17 period rose nearly 28 points from the week before to 60.9. The average daily solar flux was up nearly four points to 87.9. Sunspot numbers for November 11-17 were 48, 68, 63, 69, 62, 55 and 61, with a mean of 60.9.
