Thinking of a K3, but......

It seems like the majority of the folks that have them, seem to have very raspy sounding transmit audio. Has anyone else noticed this?

Also, not overly fond of the LCD display.

This is making me lean more towards the Kenwood 590.

I've also noticed that the audio on the K3 doesn't sound as good. Especially compared to the Kenwoods.

I tried to talk myself into the K3 and looked at them a lot on line and also in person at Dayton. My impression of the physical feel and the look of the K3 in person ended putting me off.

In person the knobs feel cheesy and the small front panel and layout didn't look good to me. I was running a Icom 756 pro 2 and also have an FT-950 so that was my comparison point.
