no, you need radials of around 8 feet, or a big sheet of metal, like the steel car body the magnetic mount is mounted too. Is your vehicle less than 6 inches wide? Skythumper communications? Seriously, SKYTHUMPER sounds so gay.

96 f-150 extra cab long bed I doubt I need much more Ground plane. So that thing is just eye candy?

This has been discussed a hundred trillion times......worthless piece of junk. I don't know of anyone who would want that stupid looking thing on his Wilson....even if it had 6 db gain.
