Hi,
I have a like new Thunderbolt 305 that works great except the fan makes way to much noise. What would be the best replacement fan for this unit?

Thanks, Wayne.

Hello,
Any high output computer type box fan should work OK.

I used a square box type computer fan (120 VAC) fan in my Thunderbolt 305 when i had it and it worked great. The noise was not as great as the stock fan and it seemed to move a greater amount of air.

Just as a thought, you might want to try a 240 VAC fan on 120 VAC. That will keep your noise down and still SHOULD move more air than the stock Thunderbolt 305 fan did.

Remember this,,,,
As a general rule, the more air you move for a given size of fan, the more noise it is going to make.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
