Hi group question.. I have a tram 1411 it has 2 tunable ground radials
. I know normally you would tune both the same I was curious if I can tune 1 to lower frequency range and the other to a high frequency range.. Im running a yeasu FT-1000MP or a Ranger AR3500 on this antenna would it help widen my frequency range? Or should I try to tune more to a central area?

Thank You

What you're suggesting should work but - if you're using this antenna to transmit on ..... you could do a heckofalot better with practically anything else. Discones have NO Gain on any frequency and are mainly used as Receive-Only antennas like for scanners.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
