Does anyone have mods for this radio? Can extra channels be added?

The PLL has to be replaced in order to get extra channels. IIRC this radio is very similar to the uniden pc122. I used to have one and it was actually pretty good on SSB, and decent audio on AM. Crank up the rf power pot, through a decent mike on it (you'll have adapt it to the stupid 5 pin DIN) and leave it alone...

For more frequencies use a Galaxy N kit if you can find one.

Yupp use the N kit they are scarce Ill worn you right offthe bat. I have one in a radio here its a pc-122 same radio. Easy install although Im taking the Nkit out and putting it back in the box because I dont use that 11 meter radio but use to and that radio actually sounded great!! Ive had a few of the TRC-465 aswell there great radios but the LED's in the channel display are notorious for failing.
