Expander 500 not working. Only a trace audio output. Wired regular Cobra 4 pin, keys radio - NO usable audio output. Get about a 1K ohm reading between shield & audio (pins 1 & 2) on mic plug. Get about a 21 ohm reading across the mic element itself. No way to further test the mic element. I suspect something on amplifier board is bad. Mic doesn't look terrible. Typical assortment of little dings and scratches in the paint which could easily be touched up. Looks 8 of 10. Dual purpose meter works. Meters swings when you key mic and talk into it. Battery test functions fine when you push the white Battery Test function. MISSING the bottom battery compartment door. Lots of good parts. You repair this mic or use as parts for another one.
