Turner M+2 microphone wiring

Working on a M+2 Turner and it has some things I see in it that I don't know if they belong. There's a resistor (33K) from shield basically to the normally closed side of the switch, that is also connected to the capacitor to basically shield again through attachment to switch case as is the resistor. The white (red) wire from the adjustable pot is attached as well to the case of the switch. I don't see that resistor in the M+2 wiring diagram I have. I believe the mic is wired for a relay switching, and I'm now going to electronic. There are a couple of other loose wirs from the element/amp part of the board I'll need to get figured out as I go. By the way, I'm not the first person in here.

OK, got the switch cleared of all the extra junk, wired to the electronic figure 3. Keys up and receives, however, no audio, or at least none without a whistle and then it's very weak. New batteries tomorrow to see if that's the issue...my luck probably not.
