What's your choice?

a) 1 driven and a grounded reflector
3) 1 driven and a isolated reflector
d) 1 driven and a reflector grounded with a capacitor
6) 1 driven and a director
c) 2 driven out of phase

Sort'a depends on what you are trying to do, and where. Except for (d), why ground through a capacitor?

Actually, grounding through a capacitor electrically shortens the antenna and could make it a director instead. Not sure the thinking behind that one. :?

I do not understand either....but folks do this. For that matter, I was never able to get even marginaly satisfactory results with a grounded reflector. The isolated reflector, and isolated director worked well for me though.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
