Hi all, i just got a pc 244 radio and when i keyed it up it shows 15 watts and no swing so i tried to lower the dead key and nothing happened, so i checked for modulation and it showed nothing on my meter,even when i turned the pot , and no TX. So dont know what to check next need help. Thanks # 15 in Cali.

you said it showed 15 watts on the DK (which is to much to begin with) then you said it has no TX ? The 15 watts should be TX I would think ? Just from what you said it sounds like it has a serious problem. Where did you get this radio ? It just sounds pretty hard to guess at from what you said 15 it could be numorous things. Surely sounds like it needs exploratory surgery. Best of luck to you.
i had a 148 do that one time, only it was 7w dk and nothing else. ended up being a bad voltage regulator.
