I would like to know how to turn the dead key down on this radio. Right now it dead keys 9 watts, need to turn it down to test a amp. It also has 100% modulation. If there is any other info that i might need please let me know thanks.
 

No numbers handy but it should be the slugged coil right in front of the final will turn your DK down. 9 watts sounds like way to much for that radio unless something else has been done to it ? More like 5 to 6 watt DK sounds about right.VR5 or 4 should be your modulation , one or the other is to adjust your meter. Good luck to you.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
