Yep,SSB would've made it a wiener,oops,winner. I like the look too. I was looking for something blue and I was almost about to buy one when I discovered the NOS/NIB(except for the small chrome case nick and scratch) Ranger TRE936ffc that Copper was sitting on. I'd like the 687's orangeness but the 787's blue display and extra switch functions. My main concern about Uniden is that I don't want to support their stubbornness to share schematics,etc. Their flat chested Shirley(performance wise) vs. volumpteous Veronica(Galaxy types)
Well,someone get one and we'll see what's inside. Does anybody own one yet? Could it have the features that it's predecessor had but with SMT giblets inside? Now if someone wants to invent an aftermarket piggyback SSB module add on for AM only radios that would be a nice upgrade option. Maybe I will.
