I have installed the LT2N combo board in a PC78Xl the echo works great but there is no talkback. The directions say black wire to built in speaker Hi and brown wire to af audio Hi. I placed these wires as if I where installing a UTB-1 board. If anyone can help out with locations I would be greatful!

Uniden PC78XL Lt2n Combo Echo/Talkback

I did the same thing with that echo/talkback board and the T.B. didn't work. I just took those wires off the board and said the hell with it. I was installing it in a cobra 148GTL. I just did the diode thing for the talkback. Done deal!
I feel a little better that someone else has had the same problem. I would really like to get to the bottom of this. If anyone else can help it will be appreciated!

I called Al at Sparky's and he told me that it was not compatible with the 148. I thought that was a strange answer but went for it anyway.
