Uniden President Grant question

I have an old Uniden President Grant that I've been trying to remember how old it is. It was made in Taiwan, it's the MB8719 pll, 5-pin mic jack which leads me to believe it's an early 80's model( circa 82-84), I forgot what year they stop cranking 'em out. I've had it for as long as I can remember, it's still in execellent working condition and from what I'm told sounds better anything on the market today, I just can't figure out how old it is
