Ordered an SDS100 handheld scanner. It has SMA connector and also comes with an SMA to BNC adapter.
Mostly, it'll likely ride in my truck and be hooked up to my mag mount antenna. I'd like recommendations on a good ducky for it. Honestly, the big honked telescoping Smiley antenna will probably shine, but I need to reasonable to use when just sitting/walking around.
Again, I mainly listen to airband, local VHF-Hi and some UHF stuff.
Anyone got one? Like it? What u using for antenna and any other necessary accessories.
I owned the SDS200 base unit several years ago. Never could mitigate the blasted ground hum in it, so I sold it. I probably should have waited. I hear the SDS150 Iis getting ready to drop. It's got built-in GPS. That's a sweet option, but I don't travel enough to use that feature. Can't wait to see how well the waterfall feature works in this unit.
