'updating' old finals in a Washington w/858 pll

Hi,

I have an old President Washington I am working on.

Right now it has backwards swing on AM.

I am planning on replacing the stock AM regulator and also the final and the driver.

The driver in these radios were a 1306 and the final was a 1307 but I would like to 'update' it with the modern 2166 driver and 1969 final.

Is this possible with out doing any other major modifications?

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
