Hi Folks,

Contemplating the purchase of a VX-8 with Bluetooth. I've not
purchased a headset for any of my cell phones, but was wondering
if the BH2 or (A) version would pair with a cell phone. (dual usage -
one at a time)!

I've read the posts about pairing a non-yaesu headset with the
unit.

Was just wondering.

Thanks,

Tim W5FN

Do you mean to use the cell phone as the speaker/mic? I doubt that will work at all. But try it and report back :)

I think he was talking about using the Yaesu Bluetooth headset with his cell phone. I dont see why this wouldnt work... but I dont have the bluetooth module... infact at this moment I am still waiting for my vx-8 to come back from the shop... :(:(

Hi Folks,

Sorry for any confusion - I was just wondering if the Yaesu BT headset
would work for a cell phone. (If I'm gonna buy one of these things, I'd
just as soon only purchase one).

Operation wise: I think I read somewhere that you use the button on
the headset for PTT... push once & start xmitting, then push again
to stop. Seems that might lead to some inadvertent transmissions.
Can it also act like a 'normal' PTT button?

Thanks,

Tim W5FN

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
