Has anyone tried or had success using a 3.5 mm Blackeberry stereo headset/microphone (4 contact points on the pin) with a CT-131 cable on a VX-8R?

I had been using the 3.5 stereo headset in the side earphone port but repeated use has caused the stereo/dual audio function not to work. I'm hoping using the CT-131 and a headset/mic will save me from having to send it for repair.

Thanks in advance for any information.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
