I would have to say mine is the Realistic Pro-2026, it was just a 100 channel scanner, but it had a hell of a receive and it some of them could have the cell opened wide up. Not that I listen to cell that much, but it was nice.

The 2026 is a nice receiving scanner. I have mine hooked up to a Hustler DCX antenna. The antenna works well considering it`s cost.(cheapie) I bought the 2026 scanner second hand from some guy in Texas and it`s a rugged little unit. It survived the United States Postal Service test of durability. To give you an example. The scanner got shipped from Texas to Cape Cod Ma. It hung around town for a couple of days in two different Post Offices. It also got driven right by the end of my dirt road driveway, twice. The post office, not wanting to come down my driveway decided to ship it back to the nice man in Texas. The nice man in Texas e-mailed me wanting to know whats up?. Well we figured it out and he re-shipped it FedX. From Texas back to Cape Cod Ma. When the scanner arrived, I unpacked it and it works just fine. Thanks Nice Man in Texas.

Pro-2006 for a base scanner I like there not being anything that I cant listen to between 25 mhz and 1,999 mhz should I want to not that I do. For a mobile scanner I was very happy with my Pro-60 untill it was stolen out of my truck. The best thing I liked about that scanner was that it received such a large group of frequencies 30 - 512 MHz & 760 - 999.9875 MHz (less Cellular). It is a 'tripple conversion scanner which does limit harmonics from the blocked frequencies. The Main reason that I like this scanner is for both Airshows and ACARS since the Discriminator didn't do a very good job at rounding the sine wave off. Being able to watch ACARS information while being out at the airport is alot of fun.

I like the Radio Shack PRO-2006 for a base scanner. I have two favorites for hand-helds: the 400 channel Icom IC-R2...it is VERY small and covers 500KHz to 1300MHz in AM,NFM,WFM...also the Yupiteru MVT-7100, it has 1000 channels and recieves EVERYTHING from 100KHz to 1600MHz in AM,NFM,WFM,USB,LSB......anything more is more than I need:)
