What to look for when buying a CB

Wow, 891...that's some pretty broad requirements there!! Since I like SSB, I'll give you a couple to look at that are true CB's. Check out the Galaxy 959 and the Texas Ranger TR-296. The 296 is real similar to the older Cobra 148gtl and Uniden Grant. Those were great radios. They don't have echo, roger beep, etc., but that's pretty easy to add.

I want to buy a new mobile unit but there are so many out there to choos from. I like the Unidens and I like Cobra. I want something that has all the bells and whistles. What models should I look at and what prices should they be?



P.S. I live in Canada but am willing to purchase south of the border.
