RR, I believe you just get the element that want for the sound you want. I like the HC5 myself. The two elements are the same as far as size is concerned. On Heil's site there's instructions on how to mount it in the Shure and the MC60 for a general description. The element has two wires already soldered to them. The hard cardboard or fibreboard is crucial with those things to get the good sound. It shows that on their instructions as well.
