Whats this small antenna on SWR matcher for?

but the small antenna thing on the right is missing,

what is this for?

That's for the "FS" function as you read on the box label. "Field Strength" meter. Pretty crude, no quantitative measuring, just relative FS changes (A/B comparison).

Another daft question, it says antenna on the right hand side, my antenna plugs in on the right hand side doesn't it?
