Ok swr on channel 20 is 1.7 now the higher I got it gets lower. Can't remember do I need longer whip or shorter?? Thanks in advance.. this is with my antenna Analyzer.

If you're tuning to .205 then your whip needs to be longer if the SWR was lower on 40. Higher the freq the shorter the wavelength and vice-versa.
I look it up all the time. Same with which way to slide the trailer tandems to stay axle-legal. Some stuff has no traction.

Just remember the higher you go in frequency the shorter the antenna becomes
