Only after I intalled it on my car, everyone has told me that window mounted antennas are junk. But I stuck a SWR meter on it and got a reading of 1.3 (+/-.1). When I did a sound check, the other radio rcv's me 5x5 but I do not rcv him at all, just static.
I am using a midland CB and the antenna is grounded to a screw screwed to the roof of the car. The antenna sits on back window, passenger side.
Do I just need to give it up and find a new antenna or is this one salvagable?
