wiring help please

i have a Static 636L mic i want to be wired to 8 pins kenwood ts 570d

pin 2 is red
pin 7 is black
pin 8 is shield/ blue

That's how my Astatic was wired to my Alinco. You could also try this scheme.

1. White
2. Red
7. Shield
8. Blue

Just stay away from pin 5 (I believe that's the hot one)

Yes, you just twist them together and solder to the pin.

What kind of reports are you getting with the 636? I might try something like that on my 590. Just using stock mic for now.
