I have the KG-UV6D and I was wondering about antennas for better reception, maby a Comet or Diamond anyone try these antennas I see there are many available on the market, Whats your expirence.

I like it very much. It's all I have used for many years. It's thin and flexible with decent gain.

It's cheap...try one out.

I've been using Diamond SRJ77CA's and in the rugged terrain where I use them, performance is near double the stock antenna. Not exactly "stealthy" at 16" VS stock at 7-1/2" though.

For Woxun radios, order the SRJ77CA, which has the 'reverse SMA' fitting.

I have the KG-UV6D and the radio antenna fitting is male thread that sticks up from the radio and threads on the outside I think it is a standard SMA and not reverse. Am I right ( antenna is female threads on inside )

Here is a pic of my antenna Reverse or standard sma to end confusion.
