yaesu ft-747gx

Any thoughts on why my Yaesu FT 747gx would suddenly stop transmitting and showing me "err" on the screen. Receive works great but when depressing mike, no transmit, meter goes back to zero. Radio stays on, meter stays lit, but no transmit. Took everything out of line, went straight to coax, and same result. Any thoughts on this issue ? Thanks.

I think so. Are you referencing the VM/F hold down on start up? How long do you keep the keys depressed while starting up ? Perhaps a trip back to 123456 might be in order. I did forget to mention that with the radio on and pushing in the MOX key, the receive shuts down and zero's out the meter. Thank you

Got it back happy to report. Reset was the solution. Thank you. Now on to solving the pdl2 issue .

Have a Yaesu FT-747GX. Both lights are out, meter and main dial lights. Any reason for this outside of them just burning out? If I need to replace them how is it done? Can I uses LEDS to replace them?
