jw whatis really true ive seen guys post irf520 with resisters changed etc putts out 45-50 watts ive also heard that a 520 wont do that many watts?

i wanted to know some parts to pickup while im shopping for a radio
when u watch people or custom cb shop they have parts there like voltage regs things like that i have protection diodes and small diodes to replace am mod parts that are cut but wanna know some usuall parts to get at radio...
leaving it on shouldnt effect the rx is ur coax still good? if your good with solder joints check the board make sure that all connections are good ur antenna
if there is sound on the radio at all its not the speaker
if no sound at all try a ext speaker just a longer list to check
im getting no recieve rf is up ive checked all that the pa works the s meter doesnt move cant tell im transmitting rxtx light comes on im not really sre bout the display i turn the channel selecter but still no talk just static

i have my rf gain wires soldered together i did the cbradiomag site trick i used a 470 uf cap and a 100 ohm res i get 0- 12 watt deadkey. very easy to set on RF gain var knob
I wouldnt worry with it the meter issue and everything is too much to worry with.go to a yard sale or shop and buy another one.Esp it being put up a long time
