I know this is an old radio. I guess that is why nobody had any input. There is no reason to spend money on getting this radio tuned and peaked?

DTB RADIO you told me what my outcome was going to be about six days before I did the change. I did it and got the results you told me. The fan noise is not in the line, it's picking up the antenna noise in the antenna. But it was a good lesson in CB installation. Thank you for the capacitor...

I did notice there is no radio noise but the fan. I had a small amount of noise in the background but now it is gone. At least the cost of the line filter was not a waste! It was fun installing it and I also put the ground from the fender to the battery. I also ran a ground to the antenna mount...

I put a line filter on today and the fan noise is still bad. When I unplugged the heater fan it stopped. I also ran a ground to the antenna. This made no difference. I want to add ceramic disc's to the fan as soon as I can find them Radio Shack is out of stock. :x :evil: :oops: :cry:

The fan motor is in the open so I can shield it what do I get to do this?

I unpluged the antenna and no noise! I orderd one filter .Do I need to put one on the fan motor also?

I have my antenna on a fender mount and it picks up fan noise. If I relocate my antenna to the back of the cab between the bed and the cab will It have any change on cutting down on fan noise. I purchased a inline filter and I have not installed it at this time it's in the dack of a UPS truck. :?

Yes The noise was the same but the cobra did a better job of filtering out the noise both were too loud. :?

I moved the power line and No Change! I grounded it to the chassie No Change. I guess I will try a Filter and hope for the best!
